Percival Wu at work

Background

I am a Computer Engineering student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, interested in the boundary between systems software, computer architecture, and accelerated computing. My work spans operating system kernels, GPU programming, and FPGA-based digital systems.

I also spent a summer at Tsinghua University's NICS-EFC Lab, where I got exposure to deep-learning acceleration and heterogeneous CPU, GPU, and FPGA systems.

I also support students as a CS 124 tutor and ECE 329 grader at UIUC, helping with debugging, problem-solving, and consistent course feedback.

Education

University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, B.S. in Computer Engineering, expected May 2027. GPA: 3.8 / 4.0.

Leadership

Outside of coursework and research, I serve as Vice President of UIUC CESA and as Competitive Director for Illini Esports, helping organize student communities around engineering and competitive gaming.
